Festival Highlights:

  • Friday: Check-in and Warm Up 

  • Saturday: 7’s pool play & party

  • Sunday: 7’s finals, followed by beach rugby and the closing beach party

The participation fee is non-refundable, except in cases of health-related issues with a valid doctor's certificate.

Are there different levels for the teams that compete? 
All the teams will compete at the same level in different divisions (Men's / Women's).

What if one member of the team is unable to come to the event a few days before? 
A member of the team can be replaced by someone else up to one (1) day before the event.

What will the weather be like during the “The Aegean Rugby 7's & Beach Festival” week? 
The weather in June is mostly sunny, and the temperature can range from 23 to 31 Celsius during the daytime and 21-27 Celsius during the nighttime.

Will there be medical support?
Yes, we will have qualified staff for this reason.

Are there refreshing beverages and snacks during the event? 
The third half starts on the field by offering beer, wine, and BBQ but takes off into the night!

What do I need to bring?
Casual summer clothes, beachwear, rugby gear, and sports apparel.

Am I insured at the tournament?
An independent provider is available for We Insurance upon request.

When should we travel?
We recommend making a four-day trip to enjoy every aspect of what the island has to offer.  Friday the 6th of June by Midday via sea/airport is perfect to settle in the get some beach time.  Departure should be set for Monday after midday to have time to get organized for your trip back home!

When are the games?
The games are on Saturday from 09:00 to 21:00 and Sunday from 09:00 to 17:00 with several breaks within the day.

Where should I stay?
Choose the low cost options offered by the event to secure a nearby location to the venues and safe accommodations.

What is the field like?
The beach rugby field is a soft sand pitch.  The seven pitch is a grass soft field at regulation size.

Do the operators and staff members speak English?
Our tour operators are fluent in English and always available to assist when needed.

Is Greece Safe?
Greece is one of the safest countries in the world with an extremely low crime rate.



To participate in the tournament requires full acceptance of the regulations:

  1. Athletes competing should understand that they are moving in the open, exposed to particular weather conditions that will prevail on that particular day of the match.
  2. Men and women of all ages are accepted.
  3. Participants who have not reached 18 years of age are required to submit a statement from their parents or their legal guardians giving them written permission to participate.  The legal paperwork must be notarized at the local police station or the municipality.
  4. Participation is considered to be valid after it has been paid off financially 100%.
  5. Any participant who decides to cancel/postpone his/her participation is not entitled to a refund.
  6. The event will take place on the 29th, 30th and 31st of May, 2026.
  7. The rules and the type of events are described on the competition's website, which is an integral part of this regulation.
  8. Participants are obliged to fully comply with the regulations set by the organizer. They are also obliged to obey the suggestions of the individuals (eg. volunteers, reviewers) designated by the organizer. Failure to comply with the regulations or instructions will result in an exclusion penalty, with no refund or any other costs. Any person authorized by the event manager may record any infringement that he has perceived and report it to the event manager.
  9. Any marking of the space provided by the event manager is temporary, intended to serve the participants, and is removed after the event.
  10. Athletes are involved at their own risk, and the organizing authority is not responsible for any injuries they may have, as stated in the statement of responsibility or here. However, qualified medical personnel. There will also be rescue teams covering the event.
  11. Participants must have been examined by a physician who has judged them capable of participating in the particular event. Medical advice must not be older than 30 days from the last day of the event.
  12. It is strictly forbidden to dispose of any kind of object during the whole event, such as plastic bottles or any other solid or liquid food packaging material used by athletes during the event. Disposal of packaging materials or other non-organic waste anywhere on the route beyond the predetermined, carries an exclusion penalty, no refund, or any other costs.
  13. The event manager undertakes to supervise the field of play with specialized personnel in safety, rescue, and medical assistance to the participants in need. In cases where security personnel and referees indicate to athletes that the event must be stopped for safety reasons, the latter are obliged to obey. Non-compliance means exclusion, no refund, or any other costs.
  14. In case of need, the event manager reserves the right to postpone the start of the event in order not to endanger the physical integrity of the participants. In very extreme conditions, he can cancel the event.
  15. Participant exclusion occurs for a) Pollution of the site. b) Inappropriate behavior towards the organizing staff. c) Inappropriate behavior towards the spectators of the event. d) Non-compliance with these Regulations.
  16. The organizers are not responsible for the deaths, injuries, or any damage to the health of the participants who, upon submitting their request for participation, declare that they are aware of the risks involved including those allegedly attributed to the negligent acts or omissions of the foregoing that their health status is good and allows them to participate, and they have recently been examined by a doctor on this subject. However, no participant will be required to submit a medical certificate but must be responsilbe to have been checked by a medical team 30 days prior to the event. They are obliged to perform regular medical checkups to check their health status and in the case of an injury, must provide the medical paperwork. The event managers disclaim any responsibility for the physical integrity of the participants, who should behave responsibly at any dangerous points on the route. The organizers disclaim any financial responsibility in the event of outside assistance to any athlete.
  17. Participants consent to be featured in photographs or any other media from the event, which shall be used exclusively to promote the event.
  18. A minimum of sixty percent (60%) capacity must be met for each category or division to take place.
  19. The organizers have the authority to modify the rules and regulations of the event, with no further notice.
